In September 2006, Lorna started piloting Latin on the KS2 literacy curriculum to large mixed-ability classes in inner city schools. She used a course which she developed specifically for this pilot scheme, which delivered Latin using activities and the myths of Ovid.

From September 2007, sixteen state primary and secondary schools started classes in Latin using the curriculum course piloted last year. This is being delivered by students from UCL and KCL Classics departments, who are teaching for one or two hours a week in each school for the year.
