The Iris Project is a charity run by a team of committed volunteers, and and as such, its various initiatives and projects need support to be both effective and sustainable. We are always very grateful for the people who have already volunteered their time and skills. If you want to be a part of the Outreach Network visiting schools and communities please contact us for more information.
We are currently running several successful and popular projects in schools, including Latin in London state schools through literacy and as after school clubs, ancient theatre workshops and courses, as well as free or heavily subsidised sessions on Latin, ancient theatre and ancient culture in inner city communities. We are also distributing Iris magazine free to state schools across the UK.
If you would like to make a donation to our work, you can do so by sending a cheque to 'The Iris Project' (please contact us for a Gift Aid form) or using the paypal link below.
We also have a "Friends of Iris" programme where for just £50 per year you can support our work and enjoy an array of benefits. Click here for more details.

We would like to offer our very grateful thanks to the Department of Classics at King's College London, for providing an office for The Iris Project. We are also extremely grateful to the Classics PGCE Department at King's College London for working with Iris to provide professional teacher-training for our student volunteers.
Our charity's accounts have been audited, pro bono, by Eddie Parker and Steve Beck at Wellers Accountants in Oxford. We would like to thank them for all of their help and efforts |
We are also very grateful to Penguin Army, the graphics design company which has offered its services for the magazine, and to Purplefish, the web design and hosting company which runs this website.
With many thanks for the support already received.

We believe that all children are entitled to the opportunity of learning about the languages and cultures of the ancient world, and that these subjects are wonderful tools for enhancing literacy, social awareness and analytical skills. Through a range of initiatives in UK state schools, we work to enrich the curriculum by promoting learning about the ancient world. |
